Project Scope And Execution
New hot gas cyclone system associated with the cooler takeoff duct supplying gases to the coal mill. The project required reinforcing the existing roof, installing a new structural support system, and carefully cutting and temporarily removing the existing ductwork to accommodate the new cyclone.
Once the cyclone was set in position, the existing duct was reinstalled and integrated into the new configuration. The cyclone is designed to separate hot particulates from the process gas stream and return the collected material back into the process through a pneumatic conveying system.
