Synthetic Gypsum System 2

The objective of installing this system is to lower the cost of cement production by replacing the higher cost natural gypsum with the lower cost synthetic [Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD)] gypsum.

The plant operates three cement mill systems. The system installed includes three dump hoppers each equipped with four screw feeders. Each dump hopper discharges into a belt conveyor equipped with a weigh idler. Each belt conveyor discharges into a tubular drag chain conveyor system that conveys the synthetic gypsum to one of the cement mill systems.
